HRT industries include hospitality, recreation, recreation therapy or tourism. Some HRT settings are hotel, restaurant, event management, cruise line, airline, youth development program, aquatics, sports, and recreation therapy program.
The goal is to research current peer-reviewed journal articles, trade publication articles and other current, credible academic sources to determine the major challenges or concerns of managers that are unique to your selected industry/setting.
Cover the following areas in your paper (PLEASE label and number sections):
- Critical or important issues impacting management of the industry/setting – for example: legal requirements, industry standards, human resources, employees, volunteers, budget, finance, infrastructure, resources, environment, sustainability, security, communication, interpersonal skills, and more. (40 points)
- Solutions or actions needed for managers to address each of the issues. (40 points)
