Assessment 03

This assignment is aimed at giving you an opportunity to do an Education Law proposal. Just a warning – although you could use the same topic as your topic for your proposal module (MPEDU91), you SHOULD NOT just use that proposal for the module as it is for this assignment. Doing this would result in you failing Assignment 3, obtaining a low year mark, and, consequently, not being admitted to the examination. This assignment must have an Education Law focus. What I would suggest is an assignment on the legal prescripts related to your topic for the ELM5901 assignment. (Legal prescripts include both law and policy.) Having a clear understanding of the legal framework for managing a specific aspect can only work in your favour!

This is a proper research assignment. Consult your prescribed literature and any other relevant literature you would like to use. Remember to include text references and to complete them with bibliographic references. Choose any Education Law theme covered in the ELM5901 module to formulate your own Education Law research
topic. Then prepare a research proposal on this research topic. You will find that many of the self-assessment activities in the study guide will guide you in preparing your proposal. Read through Module EDF5903 on how to write a research proposal but please  follow the specific prescriptions for ELM5901 as set out in Online Lessons 1–13. You couldeither listen to the lessons (access the recordings from the ELM5901 webpage), or study the hard copies.

Please note, these lessons were recorded under the previous code

(MEDEM7W), and you should understand that module code to mean ELM5901.
