In this activity, you will begin the scriptwriting process for your final film.
Now that you have brainstormed your concept for the final film project, it is time to start forming your ideas into a story outline and script. What you will turn in for this assignment will just be a draft, so don’t feel pressured to have your script completely fleshed out. You will likely edit and revise this draft a few times after submission, but it will need to be fully completed by Week 4 in order to execute your film. The outline portion of this assignment should read like you are pitching your concept; use the outline to concisely deliver an overview of your idea to your audience. Your script however should be a detailed play-by-play of each scene of your film.
By the end of this assignment, you will be able to:
- Apply story structure to your idea
- Outline and pitch your concept
- Utilize script writing format to tell your story
