Overview

This course provides you with a significant opportunity to engage with scholarly readings on the topic of family development. The Reading Report Assignments are a place for you to report on your completion of the reading material and interact with the content.

Instructions

Each Reading Report Assignment must be completed using the assignment template provided.

Critical thinking involves asking questions about clarification of key issues, worldview assumptions, reasons/evidence, perspectives, and implications. Reflections develop critical thinking from the required reading.

·       Fill in the top of the Reading Report Template by indicating the percentage of the reading assigned for the module that you completed.

·       In the Paragraph Reflection section, please provide a one paragraph overview for each of the books/readings that were assigned during the review period.

·       Because you will be using the assignment template, strict APA formatting is not required. You should, however, include citations within your writing and associated references.

The breakdown of the assigned readings for each Reading Report will be as follows:

·       Reading Report: Introduction to Family Development – Module 1: Week 1 readings

·       Reading Report: Family Life Cycle: Spirituality and Sexuality – Module 2: Week 2 & Module 3: Week 3 readings

·       Reading Report: Within the Family Life Cycle – Module 4: Week 4 & Module 5: Week 5 readings

·       Reading Report: Diverse Family Arrangements & Theory – Module 6: Week 6, Module 7 Week 7, & Module 8: Week 8 readings
