- Demonstrate a thorough comprehension of the key concepts and principles related to professional practice.
- Describe existing standards, processes, and principles of quality that are relevant to professional practice.
- Demonstrate understanding of how these standards, processes and principles of quality are applicable in practical settings and latest trends or changes in professional practice.
- Analyse and discuss complex issues related to legal, social, ethical, and sustainability aspects of professional practice.
- Investigate how these issues overlap and impact professional practice, considering their consequences and potential challenges or opportunities. Provide insight into how these issues are addressed and propose any recommendations or solutions.
COM7301 Assessment Brief
This assessment requires you complete a Group Presentation:
current research of professional practice clearly to specialist and non-specialist audiences. Your assignment must be submitted in the university format though the Turnitin link on the VLE. Assignments must be submitted in PowerPoint document, or they will be rejected.
Assignments must be submitted with the filename of xxxxxxCOM7301A1.EXT where xxxxxx is your student number. Do not put your names on your files only HE number. Failure to adhere to the submission rules will result in a mark of 0. Specifically, your Group Presentation should include:
- Develop skills enabling you to prepare a presentation to explore a practice.
- Undertake a review of key literature related to the problem.
- Synthesise the skills to make and use an evidence-based decision Identify and explain the most appropriate method of data collection and analysis.
- Develop information management skills to encourage the dissemination and use of evidence. Explain the implementation of the research question, including sampling, ethics, and access. Debate the impact of evidence -based practice and critically evaluate the usefulness in practice.
- Present an argument related to the impact of evidence on practice. Minimum Secondary Research Source Requirements: Level HE7- It is expected that the Reference List will contain between fifteen to twenty sources. As a MINIMUM the Reference List should include four refereed academic journals and five academic books.
Specific Assessment Criteria:
Develop specific assessment requirements for each classification, using the terminology in the General Assessment Guidelines for HE7.
