Final Project Paper
The final project paper covers the analysis and application of the topics discussed and presented
in the course. This assignment is due in Unit 7.
You will lay out an ethics and compliance program plan that applies knowledge of ethical
standards and applications discussed and presented in the course, along with additional research.
The paper can be directed at your current organization, an organization that you would like to
create, or another organization (i.e., a friend’s or other organization).
The paper will have three main parts:
Part 1: Ethics Statement
• Answer the two key ethics questions.
• Articulate key standards for the organization with explanations.
• Describe the benefits that come from following standards.
Part 2: Ethics Issues
• Detail your Steps for Solving Ethical Problems. Make sure to explain each step in
detail.
• Pick at least two ethical issues commonly faced by the organization (and/or
organizations like it) and how you want people to handle those issues based on the
organizational ethics statement. (NOTE: This is where you should focus your
additional research required.)
• Clarify how you want people in your organization to report ethical problems.
Part 3: Ethics Program
• Designate where the ethics function will fit in the organization and who will be in
charge of it.
• Point out the difference between ethics and compliance.
• Lay out in detail your plan for building an ethical culture. Make sure to explain
the purpose of the program.
Prepare the Final Paper using the following guidelines:
• 3,500 – 4,000 words
• APA-compliant formatting, including title and reference pages
• Minimum of eight references (NOTE: Course material can count as references.)
