Overview
AI is already transforming and will continue to transform HR processes, from recruitment to performance management and employee development. While AI offers many advantages in terms of efficiency and accuracy, it must be used responsibly. Solo work clearly and potential predictions bring advantages and disadvantages. Understanding these advantages and disadvantages as an HR professional can help your organization make the right decisions and adopt or maintain effective, fair, and transparent HR practices.
Preparation
Use the Strategic HR website and the Internet to research specific ways in which AI is currently being used in HR processes. Be sure to choose credible, relevant, and recent sources. You may also look ahead to the future of AI in HR processes. To complete the assignment, read the instructions below.
Instructions
Write a 1–2 page report in which you complete the following:
- Describe specific ways in which AI is currently being used or could be used in human resource processes.
- Analyze the benefits of using AI in these HR processes. Ask yourself: Does AI provide an improvement in performance or accuracy?
- What are the drawbacks or challenges of using AI in these HR processes? Think about ethical issues, cost, cloud-based security, and employee reactions.
- What are the legal issues of concern? Consider both U.S. and global perspectives. Cite at least one. Finally, integrate all discussions into a cohesive report. Please use at least one citation. Cite sources using APA style.
